The DMEM/F-12 medium was developed by combining DMEM and Ham's F-12  medium at a 1:1ratio. This optimized formulation provides enhanced nutritional  components and a broaderspectrum of trace elements, making it suitable for a wide  range of mammalian cell cultureapplications.
